Aaron Henry Optometry is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to ensure that we’re taking the best possible care of your eyes, prescribing vision correction as accurately as possible and diagnosing any eye conditions or diseases as early as possible.
This technology includes:
Optos Widefield Imaging Machine – now an everyday part of our practice. Optos allows for a 200-degree photo, capturing around 80% of the retina compared to traditional imaging which may only capture 10-15%. This allows us to make a better assessment of your eye health and overall wellbeing and is particularly useful as part of a diabetic eye examination.
Humphries Visual Field Analyser – used for licence tests and glaucoma assessments
Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) – a comprehensive scan that takes a cross-sectional image of certain areas of your retina including the macula. This assists us in the early detection and diagnosis of many eye conditions including macular degeneration and glaucoma.
